For Who Could Ever Learn To Love A Beast?

I hid high, mighty in my castle

I never looked down below

I’m the king of this world

Place your loyalty and lay low

The wicked grew in me

The selfishness it thrived

Then one storm a cloaked women

Came seeking shelter for the night

“What do you give me in return?”

“I give a single rose

“I have a garden full of roses,

Now hide your haggard face and go!”

She cursed me, she turned to gold

Now a beautiful enchantress

“You will forever remain a beast

For your selfishness you will regret”

Now when I look in the mirror

All I see is anger and pain

Unless I capture true loves beauty

A monster I will forever remain.
