The One With The Happy Holiday Post

We have just come back home relaxed and feeling good. We went to Oxfordshire to visit Blenheim Palace and the Friends Festival. Unfortunately, I had a nasty panic attack in the middle of a guided tour of the palace (very embarrassing!) and we had to leave. We did, however, spend our mid-week break vintage shopping and eating amazing food. Despite being terribly home sick and my anxiety triggering, we had a lovely time and it was the break that I needed. We also visited my grandmothers grave which I am exceptionally proud of myself about and it turned out to be a lovely afternoon celebrating her and my grandfather’s life. It was amazing to be back to the place where my heart strings pull. I ended up self-harming before the holiday due to triggering about leaving my father and my home and spent the day sulking but I am very proud of myself making home for a few days else where. Travelling and going on holiday with a mental health condition is tough because we don’t do very well with change! However I am very proud of myself for what I have achieved and it just goes to show that I can do things 🙂 Amy Belle
